Plate-Mate® was established in 1998 in the United States when an established caterer named Michael Kazes, and his partner Mark Erlitz, was looking for a better way to serve very large banquets faster, more efficiently, and without serving guests cold food or having some guests still waiting for their main course while others were ready for dessert.  He realized the need for better equipment geared specifically to the banquet chef and for the smaller kitchen and prep areas.  Floor space in new constructions was, and still is, at a premium.  As a caterer and a chef he realized that while every chef would love to have unlimited kitchen space the floor space of the kitchen is often sacrificed for front of the house floor space.  Knowing the money is made in the front of the house, he wanted equipment that could compensate for the loss of counter and floor space in any facility.  The Plate-Mate® does exactly that; saves you money by allowing you to utilize the space you have more efficiently.  Showing you how to accomplish that endeavor is our goal.
